Quality Nursing Oversight
Our nursing team works diligently to ensure that both chronic and acute medical conditions are assessed, treated and monitored on an ongoing basis. Nursing will work closely with the primary care physician of your choice to coordinate the services necessary to maintain a high quality of life.
Comprehensive Personal Care
Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent patients from caring for themselves. Our caregivers can assist you with all activities of daily living to include: medication administration, mobility, personal care, companionship and much more.
Therapeutic Recreation Program
General Information
Transportation: Two round trip medical appointments will be provided by the facility included in the monthly rate. Medicaid Recipients: Any medical appointment for the month, beyond 2, will be set up by the facility through Green Mountain Transit Private Pay Recipients: Any medical appointment for the month, beyond 2, will be billed $0.56 per mile. Many families decide to help with transportation to and from appointments outside the facility.
Pharmacy services are billed separately every month.
Brownway Residence offers Wi-Fi throughout the facility as well as cable in three common areas, free of charge. Television services in the room will be the responsibility of the resident or family member to set up and pay for.
Telephone Services in the common areas are free of charge. Telephone services in the room will be the responsibility of the resident or family member to set up and pay for.
Smoking: Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas for staff and residents.
Dining: Every resident is encouraged to enjoy our dining in the large dining room, or in the café for those who need supervision. Meals are prepared to meet any therapeutic or special dietary requirement. Guest meals are available 7 days a week and at summer cookouts with 24-hour notice. Our kitchen will also prepare a celebration dinner for special occasions with your loved one. Just call and speak to our dietary manager to make your plans.
We also offer other specialized services to our residents and customers who need them: hospice care, mental healthcare services, and respite care.

Hairdresser Service
Brownway Residence is proud to offer our Salon Our Salon which is located at the beginning of A-Wing. A hairdresser provides routine services weekly. The activity department generates the list for the hairdresser based on resident and family requests. The costs may come out of resident petty cash and paid at the time of service. Rates are provided by the hairdresser
Clothing
Brownway Residence provides daily laundry services. Please make sure any clothes you bring in are marked so we may make sure they make it back into the resident room.
